So I went in for my final consultation and I am a candidate for PRK and will have the prcedure this Friday. The doctor told me about a drug Mitomycin which is approved by the FDA for Chemo but not eye surgery. The doctor uses mitomycin to prevent haze and scar tissue after PRK and told me that it is very common. I have the option to use this drug to prevent scarring? Do you know if any people that you know opted for the mitomycin?

hmm...not that I know of. I googled it & it looksl like it's fairly common. They put it on your eyes, wait a few seconds, & then flush it out. Sorry, but I don't know anything about it other than what I just googled :(
