Creating a table top bbq

Hello fellow btb's,Has anyone been to or considered doing a table top bbq for s'mores?  We are having a wedding at a cottage resort and have booked it for the labour day weekend of 2010.  We are having an evening wedding on the beach and our plan is to have individual boxes of everything needed to make s'mores as one of our thank you gifts.  What I am wondering is has anyone seen this done?  We are going to make our own table top bbq's, just not sure of the best way to go about it.Tricia

This sounds like a great idea.  How about just having a bonfire instead of the individual bbqs.  I'm guessing the individual bbqs could get pretty expensive.Or have one of those big outdoor camp bbqs that have the open flame and then just have one of them and then you can use it in your backyard or garden for later.

We did consider the bon fire route, we are having one.  The only issue we have is there are over 160 guests and some young children.  I have seen the table top bbqs for $30 but I thought we could make our own with clay pots.  I just wonder what would be the best, fired or not.  I also thought if they were nice enough they could be our candles as well if we use the sterno cans.   Thank you for responding and your ideas, I do love the big bbq route as well.
