Our wedding is just about 10 months away -- and there are still a lot of things to do! The bigger ones are getting the photographer and ceremony musicians booked.  Then in Sept/Oct we can book the ceremony site (not able to until then, which is so irritating!) and then in October I hope to get the rental items booked/reserved We've got a lot of DIY projects (invite suite, veil, BM's flipflops as part of their gift, frosting the candle holders, etc etc etc) plus we also have to order the bridal party gifts....so much to do still.... But the most important thing on my mind right now is ordering my dress tomorrow!  Can't wait!!!!

Yes, I figured the TOTD couldn't always be happy design things - the reality is that everyone is planning a wedding!  Plus, if you get your list "out," it's somewhat cathartic :)

I feel the same way Smo - my heart was racing when I realized how much I had to do!  To do list = stress, ughhh

Well, I'm only 52 days away so my list is pretty small:1) write vows (already started)2) music (i-Tunes playlists)3) alter rental item quantities (we added 6 more guests)4) pick out GM suits5) decorations6) make sign for parking7) commission FI's ring- our friend is a jeweler (FI is procrastinating)I really can't think of anything else at the moment.  I'm sure something will pop up at the last minute.  Right now my mind is stuck on items 1-3.

What isn't on my mind right now, haha! I have 10 DAYS TO GO... wow. How time flies. Seriously.Thankfully my to-do list gets shorter and shorter each day. Here's what I'm still working on: - Finishing up final meetings with vendors - Just have a couple vendors left to pay - Finalize a 'clean-up/things to take home' checklist for the night of - Finish seating chart - Write names on placecards - Pick-up candy order next week - Get manicure/pedicure next week - Continue tanning - Prepare toast/speech for Rehearsal Dinner - Keep practicing first dance - Wrap GM gifts once they arrive (soon, hopefully!)There are a few other little things, but I think that's it.

We are just over 10 months out so we have quite a bit to do! We have most of the major vendors booked minus the officiant, cake and florist. We still have to finalize our colors and finish selecting our bridal party along with all of the little details.

Els - I hear you about the RSVPs. Our RSVP deadline was 2 weeks ago and I still have a couple people that won't get back to me about whether they're coming. Why is it so hard to fill out a postcard and put it in the mail!? Not sure what I'll do if they don't RSVP soon. I hate to count them in and end-up paying for them if they're not planning to come.

Deru - yeah, I am past the point of annoyance right now.  We have to have final numbers two weeks out, which is earlier than some, but still, our RSVP date was almost two weeks ago as well so it is just baffling to me that people are still waiting.  Today I've been emailing people and saying, "We are turning in final numbers tomorrow and I'm marking you as not coming.  If this is wrong let me know ASAP."  I mean, there's only so much you can do, right? Don't even get me started on how my FMIL doesn't want to call people on her part of our guest list.  Perhaps we shouldn't have invited them, then...?

What's best is when your dad says, "Oh, I forgot to invite my boss, let me ask him if he and his wife can come."  Ummm, that's something you should have mentioned 6 months ago when we were finalizing the guest list and addresses, not with 2 weeks to go!  True story.

LS - I would completely tweak if someone did that to me now.  My standard response these days is "if you want it, you find it and you pay for it, because I'm not dealing with it!"

And here I am, wanting to complain about 45% of our guestlist not RSVPing yet, and the deadline is next week. I'll start venting after August 19th, two weeks after the deadline.

Smo - Just wait until two weeks after the RSVP deadline when people suddenly decide they want to now bring a guest. That's been my other issue - having additional RSVP's (after they initially sent the card back) after the deadline. Gaaah!

Oh, I like this post! Lists make me feel better...even if they are endless!I think we're 24 days out. In no particular order...* hem table runners* WP gifts (men + parents - got my girls' done yesterday! muwhahaha!)* pick readings* put readings in program so it no longer reads "goober" in place of readings' titles* buy paper, print & assemble programs* finalize ceremony music* finish must-play/don't-play-on-penalty-of-harsh-glares lists for DJ* meet with photographer, which should help finalize the day-of timeline, which everyone keeps asking me about.* hair & makeup trials + last 2 fittings. whee!* buy photo frame for guest signing* don't forget pens* buy holders for table numbers (frames? clippy deals? not sure.)* finish and print table numbers (this hardly counts; they're mostly done)* acquire sand ceremony supplies* finish making card box, resist throwing it away because I'm sure it LOOKS FINE* find & decorate photoshare card holder* finish welcome sign and send to MOH, who's generously offered to deal with printing it* determine reception seating and make escort cards...there's more. You know there's more, I know there's more, but right now, that's what's on our list. Whew!

Is this just our list or does it include the list we gave our fiance four months ago that he has yet to do!!  I gave him a firm talking to two nights ago and it is funny how, the slideshow, dj song list, his last hair cut, etc all came together in about 24 hours!  Nevermind the constant reminders for months!!  Uggh!My list is relatively small, I think!1. prepare boxes and designate where they go.  (ceremony decorations, place cards, centerpieces, etc)2.  FI mom finish seating assignment 3.  Make table numbers4.  Print inside of program and tie to outside5.  Print menus6.  Confirm with videographer7.  Tie pew bows.8.  Wrap groomsmen gifts and fiances gift9.  write speech10.  Order breakfast and lunch on day of weddingI think that may be it!!  So fun!!
