RSVP Envelopes

Is it wrong to use an address label on the RSVP envelopes instead of handwriting or printing my address on them?

Re: RSVP Envelopes

  • I think it will look tacky. Printing on the envelope would be best. If you must use label, use clear ones.

I was thinking of using dark chocolate colored envelopes and wasn't sure how the print would show up.  I guess I could try a paint pen or something.

  • I don't think a label would look as bad if you used something in your color scheme maybe instead of just white? Maybe a light blue or something that brought it all together? Do what shows up because I think it's better you use a label that doesn't look as good then for them not to be readable and you don't receive them back! Plus it's just the RSVP envelope! There's so much more to worry about with the wedding than something so simple!
  • Paint pens will be too thick, but if you can get a white Gelly Roll pen (remember those??) they'll show up fine on a brown envelope.

Although the poster above has a good point that there are some really cute mailing labels out there like these from paper source:

so they wouldn't have to be the boring white rectangle kind.
  • I was hoping to get a stamp that said 'smith/jones' wedding and our address. It would be used to address the RSVP envelopes back to us, as well as on the back of the invitation envelopes being mailed out.
