iPod (or laptop) reception tech question

We'd like to use my laptop for our music source at the reception.  How many watts/channel should the speaker have?We want conversation to be the main focus, not dancing.  We will not be dancing ourselves.  ~150 guests.  Indoors.

    I would call a dj equipment rental store. They should be able to give you guidance. They might ask you for approx dimensions of the room.

    Call up a music store and find out(that has actual equipment, not CDs). Our local one will rent out DJ equipment(everything put the Ipod or laptop) for 85 dollars a day. If our equipment fails, we will call them up!Good luck!
