Color of groom's tie

Hello all! 

Just a quick question for you....Our wedding colors are black and white with accents of purple. My FI and I are trying to decide on the color of vests and ties for the GM and FI's suits. FI says he has no real preferance and is leaving it up to me. The BMs will be wearing purple dresses.

I was originally thinking having GM in purple vests and ties with FI in a white vest and purple tie. I am concerned they will be too matchy-matchy or that it will clash with my dress. My dress is white with a black belt. So maybe white vest and tie for groom and pruple for GM? Part of me really wants to see FI in purple, however :)

Any imput that you have would be very helpfu and I am defintiely open to suggestions!!

    Our colors are pink and green. GM will be wearing green vests and ties and FI will be wearing pink.  Let him wear whichever combo he likes best. No one will think twice about it.

    I personally like when the groom wears white/ivory and matches the bride. That being said, if you want purple and he is indifferent to the color, then go for it.

    our groomsman are wearing the color (capri blue) vests and ties.. but FI is wearing black tux..white vest,shirt and tie

    My BP is wearing wisteria. Guys are in gray tuxes. FI is in gray vest/tie, and GM in wisteria vest/tie. I'm wearing an ivory dress amd FI a white shirt. I felt ivory looked too yellow against the gray tux.

    Long story short-I like the idea of the groom being slightly differen from the GM. Orignally, I had hoped G would wear gray vest/wisteria tie, but he chose gray/gray so I am all for it! He is also debating black/white shoes (while GM wear black) which I prefer he does not do, but I'm keeping mum about it for now...
