Wedding Invitations

Hey ladies!

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about wedding invitations. I originally was going to get them done when I went to India, but now won't be able to go to India. Does anyone know of any websites or have any suggestions as to how to go about with the invitations..

    Do you specifically want Indian invitiations?  Many people have used indianweddingcard.com or parekhcards.com

    If you want to go with an Indian-inspired invitation, some of the American sites have fusion invitations.  Try weddingpaperdivas.com or magnetstreet.com. 

    Or you could search etsy, as many etsy sellers have indian-inspired invitations.

    Ditto what Meghana said.  ALot of the girls here did order cards from the 2 websites above and loved theirs.  Also, google indian invites, and there are some companies that will come up besides the 2 above.

    I wanted some modern indian fusion invites-so I semi DIYed mine.  I designed them-bought the paper but had them professioanlly printed bc I wanted the raised print to make it look more formal.  GL!

    We used paperwhitespress.com and loved them.  They're based in NC but ship throughout the country.  I think we ended up with a really cool fusion-y design, and the folks there were great to work with.  (Just a note of caution - if you want one of the more elaborate Indian designs like a booklet or scroll, it may be really expensive to go through a US-based company.)

    All great places ladies!! Also if you go to Goggle India, then type invitations, those and others will appear. Truley the best are Inidanweddingcards.com and shadicards.com.

    Have you ladies found this mini site to be useful?? I just fell upon it today and don't really see much but the forums. I am a wedding planner specializing in Indian Weddings and think I may contact the Knot to get more info here. If you ladies think it is needed.

    Try Saima Says Design or 3 Bees Paperie. Both use South asian designs. Saima does letterpress which is more expensive but 3 Bees is more affordable i think.

    Saima Says is actually Indian and does an AWESOME job. That said you have to have a really nice budget to use her. Invites suites start at the low of probably $15 per. On the Indian sites you start at more like $2.

    ndngem, I noticed that you're in DC.  I used indianweddingcards and also ordered samples from parekhcards.  I still have a ton of samples left over so if you end up seeing ones on the site that you'd like to see in person, just let me know I'd be happy to give them to you so you can cut down on the # of samples you have to order.  Just shoot me an email if you're interested  knlagna2009@gmail.com.

    I want to order mine online from one of the Indian websites, but I am worried that they might mess up on the wording or formatting.  Has anyone had an issue with ordering online?
