Re: Non traditional wedding invite wording .....

• I think that's cute - but I'd definitely think this was an extremely casual wedding if I received that invite. If your wedding is casual, and this fits your wedding style, go for it. But you may have some guests a little confused. :)

I hate totally used as an adverb like that. I think the invitation is casual but cute for the most part -- the awkward but enthusiastic dancing is actually rather endearingly funny -- but I just can't get behind the totally thing. A little too Clueless.

I can see where a few people might be confused. There are some options for fun wording out there, but yes, remember you have to keep it readable for older guests. The best suggestion is to keep the main information straight forward but play with the introduction and RSVP options maybe. Also, you can creat a fun design for your invite, but keep the wording simple.

I recently designed a wedding invite for a bride that was made up of fun colors, small icons and had a few spots with whimsical wording. You can view the example here.

But, do reflect you and your grooms personality in your invites, that is what sets the stage for YOUR wedding!
• Eh I don't really like it, but it wouldn't stop me from attending your wedding.
I would just feel like I was going to a prom-themed wedding.
• I had found this wording on Off the beat weddings ( ithink that was the name)
I agree with the "You are totally invited to the wedding of..." is a little ehhh, but I love the

ceremony followed by dinner, drinks, and awkward but enthusiastic dancing part and the wording for the insert card. Which is perfect because we are puttig all directions and hotel info on our wedding website (password protected of course ).

Our wedding isn't casual, but also isn't formal.
