What to wear dress shopping?

So I was wondering if there is anything specific to wear? Like certain panties, or bra? No bra? Also any advice on the experience in general?

Make sure you wear full butted underwear, and not a thong. You get close to your consultant real quick because you're basically naked in front of her within 5 minutes of meeting her, so it's a little awkward, especially if you're body conscious. Try to bring a bra similar to what you will be wearing the day of your wedding...same goes for the shoes, try to bring ones that are similar to what you're looking for. Remember to take a deep breath after each dress, it can feel a little overwhelming at first. I remember after my first dress appt. I was actually disappointed because I didn't get that feeling that I was supposed to have and was worried I wouldn't find the one...I just had to keep looking is all. Have fun and feel like a princess!

Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to take on and off. Ditto on the full-coverage underwear - unless you're not that shy and are fine with the thong. If you have an idea about your shoes and bra, bring something similar - otherwise, don't worry about it too much. At this stage, you likely don't know what dress you're going to get so you don't have shoes and undergarments in mind. I WOULD bring a strapless bra though - otherwise you might need to use one the salon provides and that grossed me out... Most salons will also provide you with heels to try on with the dress and probably a veil too.Other advice: Bring lots of water with you. If you're going to multiple stores in one day, make sure you schedule time to stop for lunch/snack. This can be an exhausting experiencing so staying hydrated and well fed is key.Bring a camera with you and (hopefully) only a couple of other people. Bring pictures of dresses that you like to give the sales people some idea of what you might be looking for, but be open to trying other things too!Have fun!

Also keep in mind some salons will not let you take pictures.

Comfy shoes, full-butt underwear, a strapless bra, easy to pull on and off clothing. And bring pictures of dresses you've loved in magazines. The first picture I pulled out and showed the gal, she brought me that dress, it was the first I tried on, and I ended up buying it! Pay attention to how you feel...to your first instincts. Have a great time!
