Pew Candle Holders?

I'm looking for something that will clip on to the pews at my church, that I can set a tealight in. Am I crazy for thinking such things exist...because I def can't find any.

In all my searching for pew clips, I didn't see anything like that.  Will your church/ceremony site let you do that?  I would definitely talk to the coordinator there about where you can find such a thing, if it exists and if you are allowed.

no, you're not crazy.  A lot of rental places will have them.  Here is one place that does, don't know what style you're looking for though. http://dodsongrandrental.com/product.php?id=34629(sorry you'll have to C&P) When I was looking at ceremony sites a few places had them already.

I am getting married at my church and they allow candles as long as they have a base that won't allow them to drip. They're SUPER lenient...I'll take advantae of that while I can!

If you can't find pew clips, have you thought about putting a tall cylinder vase on the floor with a) floating candle or b) just a small candle? I have seen pictures of this and it looked really nice. Just a idea. I have seen them on dollartree.com and in Garden Ridge.

With the cylinder base, I would be very worried about someone kicking it over as they entered or exited the row.  Since your church allows the candles, I would definitely rent the the little votive holders.  Don't think I'm a Debby-downer.  I have to think of these things when it comes to prom and girls in big dresses and high heels that they aren't used to.  Sometimes people don't pay attention to things as they exit or they forgot that something was there on the floor.

Simply Elegant, in Fort Worth, has what you're looking for!  My friend used them in her wedding and they were beautiful!  They also have other candelabras.  And she said they were pretty reasonably priced!  Hope that helps!

If you do candles on the pews, I wouldn't seat guests (other than mothers, etc) from the center aisle. That's asking for trouble. If you want to seat from the center, you can do flowers or pomanders on most of the pews and just do the candles on the "reserved" rows. It would still make me nervous though.

I would worry about one of those little old ladies lighting their hair on fire due to all that hair spray they usually use.  :-)
