Did any of you get this done and if so what did they say? we are thinking of getting them engraved but I can't think of anything more than putting the date

We were LDR for a long time and we'd hang up the phone and one would say "I love you" the other would say "Forever and ever" I know it's cheesy, but I love it.
And I surprised him with it. He didn't know I was doing that.
We will be engraving his with Forever and Always 10.10.10. My fiance is crazy about the date so we debated just doing that, but I felt it needed something more. My band will probably be too small to put anything in it.
I don't know what he's putting on mine, but on his, i put Forever and Always. I had our wedding date engraved on the watching I'm giving him.
"In the old days my ass would be in your back yard picking cotton, so excuse me if I don't put much stock in how f*cking awesome the old days were." -Nuggs
Aw, these are so sweet. I'm putting "Thank you, baby!" on his. It's goofy, but it's from the song "You Make Me So Very Happy" and we sing it to each other all the time, hitting the "Thank you baaaaaaaaaby!" as hard as we can. Silly, but that's us, I guess.
I wanted to write "Love, forever and always" in Gaelic on the inside of his wedding band, and our wedding date, 11-5-10, but I don't think it will fit.
My parents just wrote their initials to each other and their wedding date -- my dad's reads "NE to TF, 10/25/80" on it. Might do that if we can.
I asked FI a while back if there was anything in particular he'd like engraved on his ring. He said "One ring to rule them all." After further discussion, I realized he kind of wasn't kidding and really wanted that. So silly as it is, I'll do it. I haven't picked out a band yet, but I doubt mine will be wide enough to put anything on.
We just got J a new band, and he wants it engraved. It'll say "Me too". It's what we said to each other before "I love you". Not sure if mine can be engraved or not, it's really thin. If it can, it'll say the same thing.

I don't know if this is true everywhere, but we looked at some rings at titaniumkay.com and they can be engraved (for an extra $40) if it's something you're really interested in doing.
We did not engave our rings. I wear my grandma's wedding band and it has MED & HAC 06-09-30. I love that after 80 years it's still there, not even hardly worn down.
What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

That is hilarious. I am not telling FI that. He'll want it too. He loves LOTR.
J's is engraved w/ our intials and wedding date. I wear my mother's original wedding band, which is engraved w/ my parents' intitials and their wedding date, which I think is very cool.
Our jeweler told us about one custumer who had "PUT ME BACK ON" engraved on his band. Classy.

Yeah, I had my ex's titanium band engraved a LONG time ago with something like "Love Always" (don't remember) So it should be able to be done.
I want to engrave FI's band...not sure what yet. We say a lot of silly things to each other... I'm kind of leaning towards something that says "Together Everyday and Always".... We have a dumb joke of being together and putting up with each other Every. Day. LOL.
We're also WoW nerds so there is the "Soulbound" too.... hmmm....LOL
We play WoW (World of Warcraft), so I put 'soulbound' and our wedding date on the inside of his. Mine was too thin to engrave. Soulbound means that once it's yours you can't give it away to anyone else.

we're not. my jeweler offered it, but I'm at a loss as to HOW he'd engrave my ring as it is super thin (about 3 mm). I feel that if he were to attempt to engrave my ring, then it would be illegible. he also offered to put a miniature birthstone on the inside of the band next to the engraving (so FI's would be topaz on the inside of my ring, and mine would be a diamond on the inside of FI's ring), but again, I worry about the lack of room in my ring. and I don't think it makes much sense for FI's ring to be engraved, and mine not.

I LOVE that you did this Suc. When I told FI about it, he chuckled and thought it was pretty clever... :) I won't steal your idea but love it!!!
On one of the boards I saw someone's post saying they had "PUT IT BACK ON" engraved in her FI's ring, I thought that was cute. Neither of our rings are engraved, it wasn't something we had even thought of.
Re: engraving wedding bands?
I had it say Forever and Ever 10-17-09

After 10ish years if faded and now (25 years) you can't see it at all.
