Bridal shoot location recs?

Hi everyone, I'm pretty sure that someone posted this recently and I looked through the post and couldn't find it.  I was wondering where, if you've had them, you had your bridals done or if you know where you are planning to have them.  I'm having my wedding at Dunvegan Keep, so I was thinking of trying to go somewhere different for a different "look" since I know I'll be photographed there the actual day of the wedding. I'm not opposed to doing Dunvegan Keep, but I would love something different, maybe something more classic or vintage not eccentrically medieval.  Does this make sense?  Thanks in advance for the recs.  I hope you all are having a great weekend!

    Commonly suggested places: Mayfield Park Laguna Gloria Hotel San Jose or Ste Cecilia Wildflower Center Capitol Building

    Wow, I'm getting married at Dunvegan as well, it's phenominal, isn't it? I'm actually trolling boards looking for a spot to do engagement photos.  When are bridal portaits typically done? The day of the wedding?I'm really new to this.

    I did my engagement photos in front of the Capital and on South Congress.  They came out really well.  I'm doing my bridal portraits two weeks before my wedding since I wanted to wait until my mom was in town, otherwise I probably would have done them around a month before or so.  Good luck!

    I'm having my bridals done abut a month before the wedding.  I'm considering Zilker Botainical Gardens and another garden area. I'm worried about the heat though.  Any suggestions?  One location is in a valley and photog thinks 3 pm is the best time.  This works better with the hair stylist and makeup but it is hot!
