  That is a really good question!I forgot to put gifts in mine. I don't know how I could have done that, but I guess I figured gifts were more like personal expenses than wedding expenses. So my budget doesn't account for FI's gift, parent gifts, etc.

  this is gonna sound bad....but.....i originally didnt put in the cake cutting set, toasting flute, garter.  I did revamp the budget though when I realized.  I knew about it, but for whatever reason didnt actually include it lol

  One thing a lot of people forget to budget is TIPS & POSTAGE (STDs, Invites, RSVPs and THANK YOUs). Just remember that there are always little incidentals that come up at the end - like PP said, gifts are something that people forget to budget for as well.

  We've had this problem arise only recently, but it's been a doosy.We're having a very small wedding with only family and extremely close friends invited and apparently some of the family that we forgot about (met once, or some of them never) are wondering why they weren't invited.  So far it's worked out to 6 additional people which may not seem like much, but it's $40 per extra person with the package we got.
