Re: Weekend Check in

We got the centerpieces fully planned we think (forgot to ask venue initially about fully enclosed candles). I bought out Michaels last week while their glass marbles were on clearance. We tried a place for the rehearsal dinner, not successfully. (fi really wants bbq for the rehearsal dinner, but there aren't many close to our venue). Also tried on my dress. We had a momentary panic that it didn't fit and that it was cut wrong. We took it to the store and it looked better, almost managable, so we went to show the seamstress, who said both sides were the same length, walked around the back of me and said the dress isn't centered. Once it was centered the dress fit perfectly again. David's bridal was amazingly helpful again for me, we just ran in with the dress in a panic. sorry that was long...

Booked DJ, photog, cake.Got great deals on tuxes. Did a trial run on making a bouquet. Mockup of centerpieces and also bought all the marbles at Michael's and vases using 50% off coupons :-) Went to a bridal faire and won some sweet prizes.

I felt very productive this weekend. We met with our photgrapher to finalize everything. I put together our table names, finished typing our programs (bring printed today), finished our menu cards, and started working on seating arrangements. I'm just under 3 weeks to go, so there's not too much more to do!:-)

Major check in that I found a bra, boobies, and double sided tape to hold it all in place. I had been looking for months, so this is awesome. Stopped by the adult bookstore, for some honeymoon fun times things.  Nothing says "I love you" like edible undies.I made FI turn off his WOW game and go over the invites with me, so I could send them, which I just did!Not a bad weekend at all!

I decided on the ribbon for the STDs and am 1/2 way done with them.  I hope to have them in the mail by the end of the week! I bought some invites from Michaels that I wil either use for the rehearsal dinner invites or the menu stationary.  Got it with a 40% off coupon so that's always a plus! Stopped by a Bridal store next to our Michaels and I think I found the FG dresses!  They are the dupioni silk I want with a colored sash and for $125 they are the cheapest I've found in that material.

Wow - so many of you are getting married in the next couple of months!!! Exciting!!!!

My parents (who are paying for the wedding, and therefore get a big say) saw venue option #2 and realized it was a real possibility (they had been skeptical before they saw it and met the awesome general manager).Requested revised more official estimates from both venue options (seriously hoping to get this nailed down soon!), so we can hoooopefully make a final decision.Went to a bridal fair, decided never to attend one again (not my scene...!), and won a couple prizes - including a $100 baron's jewelers gift certificate, which is ironic, b/c my FI is a jeweler and his family owns their own store.

FI and I went to the Giants game on Saturday and sat right behind Giants Dugout. They won :) We had a wedding free weekend. Not sure if that's good or bad.

We found the hotel we will block rooms at, but that's about it. I'm having trouble getting motivated and knowing what to do next.... so many details, but it's still too early to do a lot of them.Hope everyone else was much more productive,Tammy
