Invitation Printers?

I'm in the beginning stages of how I'll be getting the invites printed.  I plan to design the invitations myself through Photoshop, so it would be ideal to send the files to a printer to get professionally printed.  Does anyone have any recommendations for invitation printers?  Are they pricey or moderately priced? Thanks! :)

Laser jets usually work pretty good, thats how I printed my invites. As a matter of fact I saw one in Walmart for $30(my sister bought one just like that some time ago) and it worked great with printing my response cards.

Heh heh . . . Laser printing is the most affordable way to print.  You can do this at Kinkos or Sir Speedy (I went with Sir Speedy).  I don't know about Kinkos, but SS franchises in different locations will quote you differently.  If you want offset printing, that will cost you as much as letterpress.  I know of a couple of places that will do offset if you are interested.

Vane,You could do either.  You can DIY at the self-service printers.  You'll be charged by the minute at the computer station for using the computer.  I can't remember if there's a fee for the actual printing, but I want to say that there is.  The problem that I ran into with the self-service printers was registration (I printed on the back and front sides), toner marks (since I had large areas of color), and slight, inaccurate color.  Now, these things will probably not affect you if what you are printing is mostly text and you won't have an image printed on the back side of the card. The other way to do it is to go up to the counter and submit the job information so you can get quoted.  That means they will do everything for you for a fee.  I don't know if it will be more or less than DIY at the self-service station.  You can also get a quote online if you visit the website of your local Kinkos. If you need more info, I shared my DIY printing at Kinko's on my bio.HTH
