Are the parents of the bride and groom normally announced by the DJ when they enter the reception? I can't remember from the weddings I've been to. :S Thanks!
At both our son's and our DD's wedding, DH and I were introduced.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
I've seen the parents announced more often than not, but no big deal if they aren't. I've seen just the bride and groom announced, B&G and bridal party, and B&G, bridal party, parents and sometimes even grandparents.
I've generally seen this at the weddings DH and I have attended. If the couple choose a modern song for the BP and their entrance, the parents usually walk out to something more classic/jazzy.
