Keep in mind that Hawaii beaches don't allow chairs, arches, etc. anymore.  I had my beach wedding on Makapu'u Beach with everyone standing - it was about 30 guests - they didn't mind and the surrounding were so beautiful that I didn't mind not having chairs, decorations, etc.  I'll be posting some pics of my wedding sometime today, so you can see what that beach looks like.I researched different possible beaches - found this site to be helpful for beach pictures (but did not use their services): www.ahawaiiwedding.com I think this website also has info on luaus.  - oh, I just checked, they have info if you click on Luaus on the left under Links (scroll down)  The luaus that I know of on Oahu are Paradise Cove, the Polynesian Cultural Center one, and Germaine's Luau.  Those are the only ones I can think of.  Check out my planning bio - link below in siggie - under Helpful Links - there is info about beach ceremony permit and insurance. My group went to Germaine's Luau - a lot of ppl consider that luau to be great.  The food is yummy but not high-end style (compared to a really high-end luau I had gone to in Maui).Oh, and Paradise Cove - I think they have a beach nearby where you can get married, and then go to their luau right after.Hope that helps!

Welcome! I've been to both germaine's and paradise cove and I personally liked paradise cove more. I love the location it's so nice perfect to have a beach wedding then walk right over to paradise cove. The secret beach is really pretty just don't know how to go about having it there as far as booking goes. Best of luck!

I'm doing an Oahu wedding too. The two luau's we're currently looking at are both in Waikiki... one's at the Hale Koa, a military hotel. The other one is at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. My parents have been to the one at the Hilton and said it was great, and I've also heard great reviews on Hale Koa. Plus, they're both right there by the beach.
