Just want to introduce myself

Hi Ladies, I am newly engaged and seriously stressed! :) My Future Hubby and I live in Tucson but will be getting married in Phoenix. We have tentatively set our date for 2/10.  I thought 8 months would be enough time to put a wedding for 200 people together! I am kind of rethinking this. Thank you for any future advice, I am sure I will be asking many many questions.

Congratulations and welcome to the board. Everyone here is super helpful. I have gained so much knowledge from the messages posted on this board. I also started planning our wedding for February about 8 months out. If you just start a list and stay on top of it, you'll be fine. ;-) Good Luck!

Welcome to the board! Don't worry, 8 months is plenty of time! Like PP said, start with a master checklist (mine was bout 7 pages long). It included all things, big and small, that I needed to do. I went through a bunch of online checklists and then added things that popped into my head (such as: buy a tux for my dog). Organize the list into a timeframe. I set met mine up so that the first section listed everything I HAD to do first (set a guest number, decide the style of my wedding, etc). Then the next section were the other things I could do now. The rest of them were labeled "six months out", "five months out", etc. I haven't ever finished all the things that are on my "do now" list. But as the months approach, I add those things to my "do now" list and it  really helps me feel like I can break it down into small, manageable steps. And of course, we are here to help too! Between us all, you could find a list for anything, recommendations for everything, and lots of advice and ideas!
