Rant- kinda long.

I came home today with the idea of printing my RSVPs finally. This weekend we're heading up to Brewton, AL to have my mom help me address and stuff envelopes so I wanted to make sure I have everything in order. When FI and shopped this weekend we picked up a brand new Lexmark #1 ink cartridge just for this occasion. I stuck in in the printer this afternoon and started printing a test sheet of RSVPs. It's freaking printing in green. FI just spent the last hour trouble shooting and researching online and we've come to the conclusion that there are colors missing from the cartridge. Red and orange don't print correctly either. So tomorrow I have the extreme pleasure of taking my cartridge back to Wal-Mart and explaining to the returns lady (who will have no idea what I'm talking about) that I need to return an open cartridge. FI says we may buy a nicer printer too... I could care less about that. Sorry this is so long, lol. I'm a little frusterated!

Walmart will take back almost anything.  And if they give you trouble, contact the company and tell them you want it replaced.

If you show the the receipt and tell them what happened they shouldn't have a problem issuing a return. If they say they "can't" then tell them that you just want it on a gift card so you can come back in 2 minutes w/ another cartridge. They should understand that someone shouldn't blow through an entire ink cartridge in 2 days.I hope everything works out for you!

I knew they would take it back, I worked at Wal-Mart for 4 years. It was just the point of having to go up there, lol. I did go today and have since printed my RSVPs! Whoo hoo!

They should understand that someone shouldn't blow through an entire ink cartridge in 2 days.LOL I went through multiple ink cartridges while printing all my invitations/programs/menus/etc.  I started buying them in 2-packs.  Definitely an unexpected cost of DIY!
