New here- Lake George bride

Hi everyone! I'm new here and planning a September 2010 renewal of vows with my husband. We've been married for almost five years and are finally having the wedding we've been dreaming of since we got engaged. Life, well, got in the way, LOL. Anyways, it's nice to be here and anyone that has any ideas about great Lake George locations, feel free to share! Our top consideration right now because of the gorgeous setting is Silver Bay.

    Hi and welcome! I am getting married 10.03.10 at Silver Bay, I think September would be beautiful there!

    Welcome and congrats!  I am also getting married in Lake George.  But in 19 days.  I have no idea where the last year and a half went!

    9/26 Adirondack Marathon 5:11:37 (major knee pain, but hey, I finished!)

    2011 Races and Results
    5/29 Buffalo Marathon (5:25 - not pretty, just trying not to get heatstroke!)
    9/25 Adirondack Marathon (take 2!)
    One of these days I'll have a good marathon!

    Jenni, how awesome! Silver Bay is so beautiful. We are hoping to go see it in person sometime soon so we can decide whether that's "the place". Srblack, thanks for the welcome and congrats on your upcoming wedding! How exciting that it is so soon. I love Lake George as a setting.

    We are getting married at Silver Bay this October. Leaves will be at peak so I'm really excited because it is such a beautiful setting. It is very reasonable from a cost standpoint and they have been really good to work with. The only challenge we have faced is that it is not cheap to stay there if you would have people traveling in for the wedding. Most of our guests are staying elsewhere (about half of our guests will have to stay overnight because of how far they live from Lake George).

    Hi!  I'm yet another Silver Bay bride-to-be (October 30, 2010), and I also recommend it.  They've been great to work with so far, and I think the price is pretty good.  Lisa, I peeked at your bio, and I loved your e-pics.  They're great!

    Hello!  Another Lake George bride here.  We're having our reception at the Inn at Erlowest.  I've checked out a ton of places though so feel free to ask questions and one of us may have some answers.  Good luck!

    Thanks Eeva. It was a great spot for the e-pics and when our wedding photographer canceled on us, I was able to get the same photographer that did the e-pics to do the wedding. After seeing his work, I'm excited about how the wedding pictures will turn out.

    Hi and welcome, I am getting married at Cresthaven on 10.16.2010. Neither of us are from Lake George, but we are excited to be in such a beautiful place. i'm looking forward to it, though i have never seen the place (my finace and parents have been twice!) and i cant wait to see it for the first time in december (i live in salt lake city). i am also excited to hear any advice from all of you about the Lake George area.
