hi

:) how do you come back and talk about your wedding in one post? we got back from the HM a little over a week ago and i have been cleaning all the wedding stuff..i stuffed all the gifts in our downstairs office and it is completely full.. i can't even walk in there. we found everything for the wedding at comparable prices than renting, so we bought everything--but i didn't even think about the clean up.. so that's what i have been busy doing. i'm not sure if we are going to rent stuff out, or just sell it (from seat covers to cake plateau).everything went perfectly, as far as i was concerned.. and i had a lot of fun. the two things that seem like an unnecessary cost, but really made the night were photobooth and lighting (we had a pink glow at mission inn and it gave the room a really awesome effect). i was expecting people to not show up, since it was a sunday night and everyone says people flake, but only 3 people out of 200+ didn't show up and two had a good excuse, so that was a pleasant surprise. people kept telling me that it was the most beautiful/ or nicest wedding they have ever been to.. i was like seriously? and thought people were just saying that to be nice, but the more people have been telling me that, i guess i am starting to believe it lol. someone even told me that last night at the redlands bowl (if anyone was there, FIL spoke at intermission :] ) so its nice to hear anyone say that at all. we got upgraded for "free" at mission inn to one of the $900/night rooms.. they basically did that for us because our family and friends rented out half of the hotel. people were so generous with gifts and money, that part was really touching.. so now we are using the money to do some upgrades on our house.there are a million things to say, but like i said, it's so hard in one post. our HM was amazing.. brought back lots of chocolate and i've eaten tons of it myself already! in hindsight, all of the hard work was so worth every inch of blood, sweat and tear we put in to that wedding. it feels good when people say it was nice, to be able to say that jon (DH lol) and i tied every ribbon, picked out every little detail.. it makes it so much more gratifying. i said this on FB yesterday, and i know it sounds really cliche, but i am really enjoying married life.. i didn't think anything would change since we already had our house together, but i feel like jon and i are just starting this new adventure and it feels really exciting :)

oh and we forgot to say anywhere that we got a copy of the photobooth pics-- big mistake lol! i feel like we are invading people's privacy, but jon thinks it was really funny... let's just say, i have seen more of old people tonguing (sp?) it down and kissing boobies than i have ever needed to! some are really conservative people too.

you know cm, the vases were the only thing in the room that we didn't own.. our florist threw those in for free but i really love the ones we chose. they are called "bristow vases" and they are tall, but instead of round, they are square (with rounded edges). they were really nice. we bought vases for our engagement party but those are all different sizes, so you probably wouldn't want those..i would recommend going to flower syndicate (there is one in downtown LA and one in san bernardino, i feel like LA has more options though) and buy your vases there. they have great prices and if you know anyone with a business license number you can get several dollars off of each vase. :) my photos are limited to the ones that our friends have put on facebook, but you can get the effect of the bristow vases here (and the pink lighting!). if you look closely, you can see two different types of centerpieces, so the style works with any flowers. our florist was flower loft, in riverside. joel is amazing.. i asked him for a platinum wedding without platinum prices and he really came through.i'll take a picture of the cake stand later today.. i wish i had a professional picture.. i am pretty sure our contract said we'd get the photos in two weeks.. but i don't know if it's too soon to ask.for our HM we went maui (for a friends wedding) for a week and went to the bahamas from there.. the bahamas was really pretty, crystal clear water. and atlantis is huge. and i would so post photobooth pictures but it makes me cringe to look at some LOL.
