I set up a consultation with Erin and she sent me her pre-consultation questionnaire.  I was reading the average amount of money her customers spend on flowers at the bottom of the page.  Seriously?!?!  It seems like $150 for just the bride's bouquet is a lot for flowers.  And $50-$75 per bridesmaid bouquet?  I haven't done any pricing on flowers, but does anybody mind sharing about how much they paid/are paying for bouquets?  I just really don't want to spend a lot of flowers....

    PS - I know she is willing to work within a budget, and I'm really looking forward to meeting with her.  I'm sure she will help find reasonably priced flowers that fit what I'm looking for, so it's not her pricing that I have an issue with.  Just initial shock, I guess.

    i met with erin but i ultimately decided against her because  i got cheaper prices from botanika which i found very surprising. if you want cheap (in price not quality) go to HEB. my cousin got her bridal bouquet there for $30 and it was gorgeous.

    I'd get a more direct price from her because what some customers paid on an average isn't really a good basis because it could be possible that her average customer has a budget of 1000 for flowers or around that figure. If you're having a smaller wedding or just a wedding that isn't focused on flowers then you bouquet could be like 75 dollars.The total for all my flowers is around 400 dollars (Including tax, delivery and set up) and that's including my bridal bouquet. The tossing bouquet is free as is my FI's boutonniere. I don't have a large bridal party so their flowers came out to around 120 total for 4 bridesmaids. The groomsmen and father's on both sides get their own boutonnieres and those came to like 16 and the corsages for the mothers and grandmother were about 36. My bouquet is going to be 75.  Centerpieces were about 200.It'll most likely depend on what flowers you pick and how big you want these designs to be. It'll probably also be a factor as to who they get their flowers from. Just go to several florists and get their prices before making a decision.

    The average is anywhere from 100 to 200 dollars. If you play with the flowers in the bouquet, you can bring the costs down. Erin is supposed to be pretty good about working around your budget. I ended up going with RTC Floristry for flowers, mostly because I needed rentals and did not want to purchase them and sell them afterward. William was really easy going and had a lot of examples of his work to show. Also, he was willing to write out an itemized budget for each item.~Julie

    My bouquet retailed for $225. I did use a lot of expensive flowers in it though. I had out of season peonies, lots of cymbidium and dendrobium orchids, tulips, roses, hydrangea, lisianthus, ranunculus, and mums. My bridesmaids bouquets were only $55 and they had mostly inexpensive flowers like mums and some roses.The cost of the bouquet is totally dependent on what kind of flowers you want in it. An all rose bouquet isn't going to be near as pricey as calla lillies and peonies. I used Erin and she did an amazing job for me. I told her my budget and what I wanted and she made it all fit and everything turned out beautiful.

    I also used Erin and paid $150 for my bouquet.  But, I'm sure I could have gone cheaper by using cheaper flowers.  If you use a true flower artist, like Erin, expect to pay between 100 and 200.  This is because you're paying both for her skill and for the flowers.  Also, not all of the flowers are suitable for the bouquet so often more flowers than are in your bouquet are purchased to make it perfect.If you really don't care too much about flowers, it might be better just to grab a bouquet from HEB.  It will not be as beautiful as what Erin would do, but it will save you money.

    I think that the average price for flowers is around 2K. Or that is what my friends and I got quotes for. Those are pretty acurrate prices for bouquets. I had the same delima and here were my options. 1) In Austin, there is a company called Mancino Iron Works. Alan heads it up. There are wrought iron centerpeices that you can rent out....and they are pretty. You can hang crystals from them or other fun stuff. 2) Do not do florals on every table. Do every other one. Do candles. Those you can take home. Or what I did is went to Hobby Lobby.....bought 3 wooden frames and cut the backs off and printed a baby picture on vellum (see through paper)-and it has to be on a laser printer.....Then I bought an accolyte...battery operated candle and that was a conversation piece in itself. Hope these help.

    Thanks ladies!  I definitely do want to go with somebody that does floral decor often because I agree that the result is much better.  Also, I want my florist to do some table decorations, too.  I guess I just didn't realize how expensive flowers get!  :)
