    Wow -- I have never seen such a thing! The closest thing we do is when they put turmeric on the bride and groom but it's still not as violent! Btw, is that only for the groom? It looks like it was all guys. Are you going to be spared the eggs on the head/face? Looking on the bright side, I've heard eggs are really good for your hair and face... maybe it will give you that bridal glow? ;-)

    I think that you'd normally do it for either the bride or the groom depending on which one is in your own family (FI has attended one for his female cousin). But since I'm not Indian, FILs are bucking tradition and including me. Lucky me!

    wow....I think since you are a girl they won't be as harsh to you..I got a bit grossed out by the eggs smearing in his face...gross.
