DJ/Band Recommendations- Upstate NY

I am sure all brides want this... a packed dance floor!! That is what I am looking for in addition to music played during the ceremony and cocktail hour. NOT CHEESY!!! Does anyone have an recommendations for a DJ/Band that can accomplish this? I am getting married in upstate NY, Lake Placid. Thank you so much!! :-)

    I went with elite entertainment in LP, I liked the guy's personality and they were on the prefered vendor's list.  I'm getting married in LP too

    Thanks Ladies! I looked into a few that were based out of Saratoga Springs as well giving me a few more options. I had a friend get married a few weekends ago and she used DJ Susie Q, she said they were wonderful. We will see what they say. I dont want to spend too much but its important as well. Anyone know what is normal for costs of DJ's?

    @hergies403- I've seen a lot of people who have used the Music Man... I like his name just because of the musical. I will look into him, thank you!

    @blakgarnet- Thanks for letting me know who you went with up in LP, I saw they were on a few vendor lists up there. I will look at them knowing you went with them. Yay for Lake Placid, I love it up there! Where in LP are you getting married?

    I second Mike Garrasi (Music Man)!  We're using him for our 10/12/12 wedding at the Hall of Springs.  He's been absolutely wonderful to work with so far!  He actually brought up the "no cheesy" thing before I even had the chance to ask!

    We are using Grand Central Station (band) for our wedding. They will be at the Desmond Bridal Show on November 20th. Great group of musicians!
