Going to strangle.....

The FI.......He is driving me nuts. We have three months or so to go and he is trying to find ways to cut cost, which i am fine with. The only issue is he refuses to cut the list. I tried to explain to him that most of our numbers are based of the list and he is just clueless......URKED

    Hmmm. Dont strangle him just yet.  He probably wants to feel like he's doing something productive with the wedding planning.  Try to approach the guest list cutting in a different manner so that he can really see that more money will be saved in that aspect.

    Thanks honey.... well right now, he does not want to do anything till we cut things... fine, but i am just annoyed because he refuses to understand that a lot of things are based of the guest list. Now i don't feel like planning anymore

    Yes I feel you on this but don't kill 'em, honey. Even though that would cut down one on the guest list. Smile!

    Dont give up. Sometimes men need to hear it in a different format versus what is comprehendable (if thats a word) to us.  Trust with my FI, I've learned a way to approach him with things so that I can get a clear cut answer.  Just show him the numbers on what cutting back 10-20 people will save you all.  Hopefully that will strike a cord and get the ball rolling.  Maybe approach it in the morning.

    Nooo.....don't give up! Its a pain in the butt, however, it can be done. It may not be pretty, but your FI gotta get onboard with chopping that guest list. Give him the visual. You know men need visuals & things spelled out in ways that a preschool child would comprehend.     This is exactly what I was going to write.  Men are visual and sometimes more analytical and need to see the numbers in order to understand the impact of cutting the guest list.  Good luck!
