Sari Blouse Tailor in the DC/Baltimore Area

Hi Ladies,

My Future in-laws are going to be bringing me at least one sari (for the rehersal dinner) when they come for the wedding later this month and I need to find a tailor to make the sari blouse for me.  I work in Baltimore and live in the DC metro area so either is fine.  TIA

    I had to get a blouse stitched for a friend's wedding and found two tailors by calling some Indian clothing stores in the area for recommendations. I couldn't find anything online. The one we chose was Siva Kumari (301.675.5476, 12948 Travilah Road, Potomac, MD). She has a little sewing shop out of the back of her Indian store. Quite out of the way, and I think she'd be better for alterations than for sewing a blouse from stratch. She did exactly what I wanted, but the quality of the work wasn't excellent. 
    I also found another woman through another Sari place, Shahin, 301.762.5469, 13221 Aleutian Ave, Rockville, MD. We didn't use her, so I have no idea about the quality of her work. Maybe worth a try!
