There has probably been posts on here before about songs choices so sorry in advance. I am trying to get ideas for recessional songs and also the entrance songs for the bridal party and us. What songs are people doing? Thanks!

Our recessional is the Peanuts theme song

FI and I are pretty excited bc it's kind of quirky.

ETA: Didn't realize we were putting the whole ceremony lol

Mothers: Canon in D
WP: Ave Maria
Me: A compilation of Thomas Newman's "Spring" & "Harvest Time" from the Little Women movie soundtrack made in the early 90s. Sounds random, but it has sentimental value.

we have a local bluegrass band playing for our ceremony and reception. they're playing a classic version of pachabel's cannon for the processional and a kicked up bluegrass version of it for our recessional. i'm pretty excited about it!

for our entrance we're going to start our first dance song and our entrance will be from upstairs and we'll come down the staircase and then dance the rest of the song. it's Swept Away (sentimental version) by the Avett Brothers.

For our ceremony songs we are doing the traditional songs... we aren't going to be doing a WP entrance, just our bride and groom entrance, which will go right into our first dance.

I am going traditional, Mendehlssohn's wedding march (I think that's the right one, "here comes the bride") for me, Pachelbel's Canon in D for BMs, and Wagner's bridal chorus for recessional. I tried to picture some alternative/creative songs to use (like PPs!) because I think that's really neat, but it just wouldn't fit the setting/us.

We are going traditional:

Seating of mothers: "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" Bach

Processional: "Canon in D" Pachelbel

Bridal entrance: "God of our Fathers" Warren

Exit: Wedding March (I didn't really want this song, however FI was dead set on it so I gave in)

I don't think we're going to have a separate processional and bridal march song because our wedding party is super small...

So:
Processional/Bridal March - Vitamin String Quartet version of Flightless Bird (Edward and Bella's song from Twilight)
Recessional - Pirates of the Caribbean theme

It's very quirky but we are so not traditional anyway.
