Sparkler send-off

Did you have one?  Did it go well or did drunk guests burn themselves?  I love the idea, mainly for a great photo op but we are not heading off alone in a limo, we are hopping on the shuttle and heading back to the hotel with about 30 other guests.  So, it really won't be a send-off.

    We had one and it went well. Our DOC and venue staff helped everyone get theirs lit. One thing I would recommend is to have guests take two sparklers. I wish we had thought of that beforehand since the lighting looked pretty weak. Instead we ended up with a ton of sparklers left over afterward. Also ask your venue if they have guidelines about them before you purchase your sparklers. Our venue had length restrictions and we had to provide buckets of sand for the guests to extinguish them in.
