Save the date postage

I am sure I am not the only one struggling with this....BUT we are about to send out our save the dates and they are postcards. I went by the post office today and they said the only postcard stamp they have is POLAR BEARS!! Doesn't really make sense for an April wedding..... So, what would you guys do? Buy the polar bears? Or spend a little more and design my own on a site like zazzle. I think the price difference will be about $80.

Or instead of making custom postage, just buy the normal stamps. More expensive than postcard stamps, but less than zazzle. Just another option.

Very true Monica....why didn't I think of that? Haha, sometimes it is the most obvious choice!!!!

When I sent out my STD for our winter wedding the only postcard stamps available were tropical fruits. It really didn't go with the snowflakes on the postcards, but I didn't think our guests would care enough to make it worth spending money that could be used elsewhere. Weddings are expensive enough without spending extra on matching stamps.

:) yeah....I went with cheap, standard American flag stamps.  I've never really judged anyone's STD based on the stamp so I think you're safe...
