Costs go up constantly- it's best to get rates straight from the photographer or refer to their website.I think Jennifer Nichols is fab, and Marcus Revilla has been used before but he has so-so reviews.

I was considering doing that myself but I want to get into better shape first ha ha. I wonder what it's like. Has anyone done these and could say what to whole experience was like for them? Was it strange?

I am actually taking mine next friday. I am soooooo excited I am doing mine with Michelle Squier with msboudoir. Her work is amazing. My future sister in law took the photos with Marcus Revilla, she really liked the experience. I don't know if he still does it but he would have the girls rent a hotel room at Hotel Valencia downtown to shoot, for me thats kind of weird. Michelle has a studio and really cool backdrops and props. I signed with her after the bridal show last year and got a discount. check out her website msboudoir dot com. I took b-pics and really enjoyed the experience. I did it with a group of knotties and we rented a hotel room at Hotel Valencia to take them it. I liked that better than a studio because then it looks like you are actually in a bedroom rather than on a set. At first it is kinda awkward, but you relax and start to have fun. We used a photographer who was very experienced in weddings, but brand new to boudoir so I think that may have had a negative impact on the result. I got a few that I thought turned out really well and a bunch that were just plain unflattering. I would recommend doing them, but make sure you have a photographer that really knows what they are doing.

Oh, and I wanted to note, I was about 30 lbs. overweight when I took mine and was really unhappy with my body. But I know my husband loves my body how I am and he would find the pictures sexy regardless. Plus seeing those pictures made want to get in better shape and I was in a bikini by the end of that summer, so there ya go.

Random question...but where do you put these pictures? Are they something that you have for your husband's eyes only? Are they displayed somewhere? Just curious because I don't think any of my friends have done this, but it sounds kind of fun.

I also did the Knottie group b-pic shoot and had a great time. It really is fun with others there and it's easier to relax. I LOVE Jennifer Nichols' work. Also Lisa Woods in Austin and Sarah Q. Sometimes photographers will work deals with a group of girls - Marcus Revilla did that for us. Plus it saves on costs for whatever location you choose. I'd say find someone that has experience doing them though. Have fun with it and practice your "sexy face" in the mirror!Oh and for whoever asked the question - what to do with the pics. My DH has an album full of all the prints and all of them on CD. I made him a book though and gave it to him for our 1 year anniversary. A lot of girls give them to their guy as a wedding gift. It's really up to you! We don't have them on display or anything though.

I would recommend Dan Miller from Dos Kiwis. The cost inlcudes a makeup/hair artist to fix your look for the shoot. you can either get them done in his studio or you can rent a room at the Fairmont Hotel for the shoot (extra $100), which I totally recommend because they come out gorgeous!!!! Dane is a really great photographer and really reasonable.
