Looks like I'll be looking for a new photographer.  

  I went to a wedding in June that my photographer was working.  I noticed that he was not there taking pictures, and thought it was strange.  About a week ago, I went online and looked at the pictures.  I was definitely not impressed.So today I e-mailed him and asked how I could be sure that he would be there to take my pictures since that is what I was paying for.  He wrote me back and explained that this was the first time it had happened and that there was an emergency.  Okay, I understand that.  Then he goes on to tell me that since I didn't sign a contract in February when we met, that he could not honor the price he quoted me.  Well that sent me over the top because not only did I sign a contract, but I made a $400 deposit!!!!!  I re-read the contract and it says refunds will be granted as long as you cancel more than 30 days out.  I've requested the refund, so we'll see how he reacts.  It just really made me mad that he couldn't even remember that we signed a contract AND made a deposit.  So now I'm back to looking for a photographer, which is probably a blessing.Sorry, just needed to vent!
