Weird or not?

Ok So I got a Huge package today from Bed Bath and Beyond. I was super excited!!! I opened it. Inside I see it is the set of drinking glasses that we had registered for!I also look right away to see who is is from. To my supprise the name is not one I recognized?? I called my soon to be hubby and he didn't know the name either so I of course googled the name and address. I came back she is a lawyer from Organ. We have no idea who this woman is. Should we just send a thank you card or how should we handle this??

    Odd.  Could it be something like FMIL's distant cousin?  You might ask around with your parents and his to see if they know the name.Or, do you or your FI have common names?  Maybe this person meant to give something to another couple entirely, and just got onto the wrong registry.

    I would check with both sets of parents and make sure it isn't someone you just can't remember. Then, if truly noone knows who this person is, I would bet that you got someone elses gift by mistake. In which case, maybe try and contact the sender and let them know? Good luck!

    So you DID register for it but you don't know the name?  Seems too coincidental to be a mistake.  I'm guessing it's a family (parents) friend/coworker/etc. We received a set of registered for dishes from New York and it had some name I didn't know.  After some light digging I found out it was my marketing VP's admin who had the name attached to the BBB package.  Since our corporate office is in NY, I knew he had asked her to send something. Perhaps it's the same scenario?

    That is odd, but I agree w/ prior posts. Be sure to check with parents and think about work scenarios that are mentioned. Heck, it could be a distant cousin's wife on FI's side... my FI wouldn't know those names either. GL

    Ok so I figured it out!! I contacted the person who sent it and they clicked on the wrong Rachael Metzger so I took it back to bed bath and beyond today and it was a big deal to try to get them to figure it out. So what happened in the end they sent it to the correct Rachel Metzger even though it was not on her register and she can take it back if she wants. I just hope it all works out in the end:)
