nobody returns calls these days

anyone else have this problem? out of the many, many vendors we have called for everything since day 1 of wedding planning, MAYBE half actually call back. i don't get it. either our date is booked so they just don't care, or maybe i sound like a cheap troll on the phone. haha. ah.

    We had a little trouble with our venue. Then again the owner was in her upper 90s, nearly deaf, and besides they had a huge flood that took out all the roads to the place for about 2 weeks. Everything got resolved though.

    the venue we really wanted was at a hotel and the manager lady, the only one in charge of arranging that kind of stuff, was away india for 2 weeks when we were trying to book, which turned into almost 2 months, and didn't call us back for a long time later. after making many calls she finally called back, then i realized if this is how hard it is to get ahold of her then i probably should not be booking my wedding there. :( so we didnt. 

    it worked out though! we got a venue for a LOT cheaper, nicer. location not as nice but small sacrifice for all the other benefits. so i guess its a good thing if some people don't call back!!

    If they aren't returning your calls, why did you chose them to be your vendors?

    We had big problems with our venue, after it was sold by really nice, caring individuals, to a ferris wheel of crazy cakes.

    Maybe they're just busy?

    FTR, our caterer went through a short amount of time of not returning our calls (2 weeks). Turns out her grandma died.
