Hi Jen!

My fiance and I are thinking about getting married at Hawk May 2011. How are things going so far? I think we are ready to put down the deposit...it is just such a big decision...and I am bad with those!

Hello

Yeah we were deciding between Hawk Mnt and Echo Lake

but we went with Hawk because the rooms are all there for out of town people to stay

so they don't have to travel anywhere! I know its hard to make that first step to pick a place but so far we are really happy with all the decisions that we've made so far and all you have to do is e-mail them and Jessica will get back to you right away. Its very beautiful there too! I grew up in Vermont so it was a no brainer to get married there! If you have any questions about anything or just want to chat you can write anytime!! good luck with all the planning!! Its so much fun

I grew-up in Vermont too! My family lived in Barnard and I went to High School in Woodstock.

We met with Jessica a couple of weeks ago and have been emailing back and forth. I know somebody who was married there in September and her family had great things to say about Hawk.

Keep me posted on how things are going!

Three months form today is the wedding, but I'm not nervous at all. When did you graduated from Woodstock? I know Katie Beard and I remember some guy named Jesse that went to school there. so how are your wedding plans going? My shower is already this weekend...It goes by soooo fast

If you are looking for bridesmaid gifts, the knot shop has these really cool totes in like 5 different colors and you can fill them up with stuff they like, just an idea. I got the bags and they are really nice!! Talk to you soon!

I am getting married there this September! It has gone by sooo fast! I am scrambling to find someone great to do my hair/makeup. Any suggestions??

First of all congrats to you and your hubbie to be! We got married on June 5th there and it was fantastic!!! The people I used for hair was Danielle and kim Barr from Bahrettes. The number there is (802) 234-5511. Danielle is the best, she works with her mom but she does all the up dos. My hair came out amazing and I had so many compliments. The only thing is it's a little pricey, but its all worth it!! Its $95 plus $50 dollar travel fee to Hawk Mountain. That's for a trial too. Then they add a 20% gratuity but only for wedding day not trial. At first i was shocked about price but you'll see how great she is and the money is all worth it!! I did my own make-up because it was $50 dollars and I just wanted to do my own. I went to mac in the mall and got a make over but you had to buy $50 worth of make-up but It was worth it. i got really great tips and it was really natural
