Gifts for friends doing vendor jobs

We have two friends who are doing "vendor-type" jobs for us at the wedding.  I'd love your input on their thank you gifts. - We're doing an iTunes reception and one of my FI's friends is going to run it and "DJ" for us.  I know that we are going to get him a restaurant gift certificate to his favorite sushi place to thank him, but I was also thinking about getting a little something else.  He's a big Mac guy (the computers, not the make-up), so I was thinking about doing a g.c. to the Mac store if such a thing exists.  What do you think? In total, how much would you spend on this?- A colleague of FI's is going to do videography for us.  I don't know him at all, so I've been struggling with what do get him as a thank you.  I was thinking about doing an AmEx gift card so that he could spend it on whatever he wants.  Any other thoughts?  And, again, how much would you spend on him? We're also inviting both to the RD and to the wedding as guests.TIA.

Since we are trying really hard to keep our budget down, We probably wouldn't spend more than $20 on the gifts. Since you are including them in all of the festivities, they won't feel like they are just working. I think getting People AmEx gift cards is a great idea, especially since you don't really know him personally. also: YGM!

Thanks for the quick responses. Court - we're not paying them for it.  Because of that, I wanted to be on the generous side with our gifts.  The $100 - $200 range is what I was thinking.I XPed on the October Board and someone said she's giving her cousin $500 as a gift for videoing the wedding. Um, notsomuch.

Wow, for $500 you could have a professional do your videography!  I think anything in the $100-200 range is a very generous gift.

I also agree that $100-$200 range is good.

Thanks, ladies.  And, Amy, I totally agree!!!  For $500, I definitely could have gotten a professional - or at least a semi-professional - to do it!
