So to start off, my fiance and I just don't care for regular cake, so I was wondering if I served angel food cake, would that be okay? We are both big fans of it, and what should I offer as options for toppings? My colors are purple and black, but I was thinking I could sprinkle a little powdered sugar on it for decoration. Also, Should I have everyone have their own mini cake or not?

    Mini angel food cakes would be lovely! I'd go with macerated fresh berries (if you really wanted to stick with your theme Blackberries) and whipped cream on top.

    I love the idea of mini angel food cakes with a topping bar! I think that'd be really fun for guests too. We're having a pie table with four different varieties, served with a scoop of ice cream. It plays into our rustic theme and it's fitting for our October wedding. So far everyone we've shared it with loves the idea! We'll also be ordering a small cake, so we can still take part in the cake cutting tradition. I'm all into tailoring our wedding for us, I think it makes it an extra fun experience for guests.
