my turn for an invite?

I am SOOO excited we are making progress on the invites! Everything is all set up and we've started printing. I LOVE the way they look :) Anyway... I just realized that inner envelopes didn't come with the kit. How can I let people know exactly who is invited? What if I print individual names on the response card? Would that cover it? Any other ideas are welcome :) Thanks ladies!

I am sure Laud will know, but I am pretty sure that if you don't use an inner envelope you print the names of each person who is invited on the main envelope.

We didn't have inner envelopes either. We did our response cards with everyone's name. Worded kind of like this: The favour of a reply is requested before August 15 Bob ____will attend _____will not attend Ann ____will attend _____will not attend It has worked very well for us and has been great- as we have been receiving them it is very clear who is an who is not coming.

We didn't have a inner envelope, I just put the names of whoever was invited on the outside envelope.I broke lots of rules when it came to invites, but I really didn't care. They came out looking good. Good luck finishing urs!

Pinky, we did the same thing. I just put everyone's name on the outside. Hell, I even put a hand-written note in with a couple of invitations for FI's friends letting them know that they needed to give me their date's name. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have even gotten the response card back. :sigh: I tried to get him to find out SO information beforehand, but it just wasn't happening.

If you have no inner envelopes for your invites, you list all invitees on the outer envelope, including children.Another way of making sure your guests know exactly how many people are invited is to have something like this on the top of your RSVP card:"Three seats have been reserved for you. ..."That makes it pretty obvious regarding who is invited.

That's what I did, we didnt have inner envelopes either. On the outer envelope, it was either "Mr. and Mrs. John Smith" for married couples or "Ms. Mary Jones and Mr. Kevin Anderson" for friends of ours who have significant others. I didnt do anything special with the response card.
