CAMBODIAN VIDEO MONTAGE!

So one wedding was done last weekend.. my traditional cambodian wedding in oregon. My friend made a quick montage for anyone interested in watching! The beginning is kinda shaky and may make you dizzy but i do love the ending! One wedding down.. one wedding to go! http://vimeo.com/5990957 password: takahashi

haha no he doesn't smoke at all.... you can't hear it but the bestman does smoke.. and so grant was like "what do i do with this now??" and bestman swooped in to "take care of it" 1. the beginning you see a line of ppl holding trays with grant in the front.. it symbolizes his community coming to my community to ask for my hand in marriage.. all the food and clothes is offerings to my parents... then we exchange rings 2. the second ceremony is an "enchanted pair of comb and scissors". All couples and close family friend pretend to cut hair as in cutting all the bad luck and bad aura out of our lives.. so we can start fresh.. they also give us their own special blessings 3. the third ceremony is literally "tying the knot"!!! all married couples tie us together and bind us. We have these red thread bracelets that we have to keep on for 7 days for good luck 4. the last ceremony on the bed is just a fun banter and exchange between the new husband and wife!!! its just a traditional game =) enjoy!

It's such a cute montage!  If this is hints of things to come in HI, everything is set!  Tradition is so nice, especially for big events...like weddings! =)
