HELP! BM dress lost in mail

As many of you know, I'm fairly new to Austin and all my bridesmaids live elsewhere. I had no choice but to mail the girls their bridesmaids dresses (with insurance of course). 2 weeks after they were dropped in the mail, one of my girls still has not received it. She's also been having a lot of trouble with other packages getting stolen from her. A fact I found out this morning. Soooo, anyone know of any creative options for getting a Grape Alfred Angelo satin dress in a size 6? I called AA and there are no dresses in that size, color, and fabric in their warehouse. I have 2 styles of BM dresses, so it doesn't have to be the same one that was lost or the same as the other style dress. Just something to coordinate. And did I mention the wedding is in 34 days? Any ideas?

    You might get lucky and find something on eBay -- maybe even something that's a size large and could be taken in?

    the warehouse may not have it but what about the stores? any have samples they would sell?

    I ordered all mine from plussizebridal.com (they have all sizes) and were able to get them in a few weeks. Call them tomorrow. Only problem is they ship them UPS. You might consider asking your maid if you can ship them to her office to avoid this problem. Amy

    They won't let you buy off the rack at either of the local stores? Have you tried the bridesmaids store? They sold to me off the rack.

    Ohhh, I hadn't thought of the Bridesmaids Store. Thanks for all the suggestions. We're still working out the details and trying to see if the package is in the USPS facility, but I'm not holding out a ton of hope for that. I'll keep you posted as to how we resolve this!

    You should call Classy Concepts in Round Rock, they rent out bridal and bridal party dresses, and they even alter the rentals so if they had the AA dress you need they could probably alter it for her.  Might want to try and give them a call, hopefully they will be able to help.  I have heard great reviews about them and they are altering my dress.  Good Luck!
