venue ideas

We are wanting to get married down here next Sept. We want to have both the reception and ceremony up north. We have looked at the Tuscan Ballroom and the Marriott at the Airport. Does anyone have any feedback or other ideas. We're not from here so not familiar with venues. Any help would be great! Thanks

    You should probably share a little more info...how many guests, budget considerations, etc. as that can make a big difference in recommending something that could work for you.

    There will be around 300 guests and we're still trying to figure out a budget. Something awesome but that won't put us in debt right away! I've never been to a wedding down here or heard any feedback of the places we've looked at. So I have nothing to go on. All I know is I want it up north.

    I work at the Marriott at the airport! :D  Denise and Scott (the event planners) are awesome!  I am trying to get a chance to go and shadow Denise for a wedding but we've been so super busy I haven't had a chance.

    We are doing ours at Heritage Hall in Liberty.  Not sure what kind of budget you are on, but it's $2500 for a Sat rental and that includes a bunch of stuff.  The place isn't much on the outside but pretty big on the inside and is going to be really pretty once all decorated.  You can bring in your own caterer and alcohol, which is a lot cheaper(and the food will probably be better!) than a lot of those places that serve all the food themselves.

    If you do shadow a wedding at the Marriott will you let me know how it went? They've been awesome to work with so far and we haven't even booked with them yet. I'm going to look into the Heritage House, thanks for the idea!
