What are some of your opinions on the local shops for your bridal party? I am really not interested in Davids Bridal or Vera's. Any other good places? What are your opinions?? including davids and vera's???Thanks
I liked Vera's. I didn't get my bridesmaid dress through them, but I did get mine. It was a super smooth experience.I did check out Brandi's in New Glarus to get ideas. For a past wedding we used Brides N' Belles in Reedsburg and they were fantastic!GL!
Brandi's in New Glarus has a ton of dresses. I liked Vera's, sometimes it can be hit or miss depending on who your consultant is but if you're just looking for bm dresses that shouldn't matter. Brandi's and Vera's will probably have the same selection and the same number of dresses but Brandi's is more laid back and less pushy. I have always gotten my dresses at Pearl's Place (pearlsplace.com), you can usually knock off $30-60 depending on the designer.
My BM dresses are from Vera's. We had a geat experience when we went in to try things on and buy the dresses. After that, not so good. It really depends on who you end up working with. Some of the girls there can be very snotty. I went with a friend to Brandi's in New Glarus last year and they were awesome. I'd stay far away from the David's in Madison. Its so hit or miss there, its not worth it IMO. Depending on where you are, Specially Hers in Baraboo is awesome. My dress is from David's but the seamstress from SH is doing my alterations. Her name is Bev and she's fantastic. The other gals that work at SH are so sweet.

Brandi's Bridal was AWESOME! They were so nice, laid back, and easy going. Vera's was very rude and snotty and really really pushy. David's Bridal in Madison was ok, nothing special, not really anything real bad to say. My girls tried on 2 dresses at David's and i didn't try on anything so we were kinda in and out on our own.
I have not had a very good experiences at Vera's. They have not been very nice or helpful. David's was helpful but I have heard their dresses are not very good quality.I have good experiences with Beautiful Brides across from East towne. They are always helpful and willing to go the extra mile for you.
