  I didn't buy online but I wish I did.  At first I was looking at this 1200 dollar Watters gown and I asked netbride for a quote and they told me they can sell it to me for 850 and they don't charge sales tax!!!   But I ended up buying a different gown and at that time I had no clue who the manufacturer was cuz I've never come across it on the bridal magazines I've seen and the sample at the store didn't have any tags.  So i ended up buying from the store.  If I had known the manufacturer back then, I probably would have saved 30% off the list price.

  I kinda of did.  I found the dress I loved at a boutique and then went home to find it online.  I found a Karen with R.S.V.P bridal and I would have bought it online from her but she lives 25 mins away.  So I went to her home and got fitted and ordered the dress.  It come in 5 months new with tags and everything.  Saved me $250.  I would not have done it any other way.

  I bought my dress on eBay... it was very cheap, but I had to put a bit of work into it. Though I'm sure I spent several hundred dollars less than I would have otherwise. My advice is to just make sure that the site or seller has good reviews, and to keep in mind that there's a good chance it'll be a knock-off. There are a lot of sites that will make knock-offs at like a tenth of a price, but I think it's best to look around and see if they have positive reviews from other sites. Overall, I had a great experience, and I think my dress is perfect for me:)

  Try pearl's place....it has good reviews. I ended up buying my dress from the bridal salon here locally b/c my FH said that it would be nice to support local businesses in this economy. It was a dress that had to have the correct hollow to hem measurement so I wanted to make sure I didn't botch it up. Nonetheless, I paid almost $1200 with tax and I would have been able to get the exact same dress for ~$750 without having to pay tax b/c the store is in LA. Just to be sure it was legit, I went to the website of my manufacturer and they were listed as one of their distributors/authorized dealers/whatever you call it...

  I'm really, really leaning towards buying my dress online.  Nice to hear it works out for alot of people.  Mine really isn't a price issue (of course cheaper does help!) it is just finding what I want.  I'm not going to be able to find shorter "fun" wedding dresses anywhere around here.I'm in love with this one called "Milan" http://dollycouture.net/pb/wp_6a1ddf5b/wp_6a1ddf5b.htmlIt has the ballerina thing I've always dreamed of yet it is fun and I think would go well with a vintage feel wedding.  Of course it is just the fear of not trying it on first!  Yikes.

  I actually just bought my dress from netbride.com. The customer service was amazing and they were so helpful. The dress I bought was actually a bridesmaids dress, but I saved like $150. I have also heard great things about bestbridalprices.com, but did not use them, so I can't say from experience. I think, as long as you can go try it on in a store first (like a bridal botique) then it is OK to buy from a website. Good luck!

  I bought mine online at edressme.com - they have some really beautiful destination dresses. They have a calculator for working out your sizes. Remember if it doesn't fit perfectly you can still take it to a dressmaker and still save money! x
