Minimal Florist

Hi girls! I've searched this thread for a little while and I know many have asked about affordable florists but I was curious if anyone knew of any florists that don't mind doing a minimal amount of work, as I know some have minimum prices that seem outrageous to what I'm even wanting.

My bridal bouquet itself will be made out of brooches.  The groom and groomsmen will be having boutonniere made from ribbon.  My centerpieces will be mums that I'm purchasing from a greenhouse.  I will only need 3 bridesmaid bouquets, a few single stem flowers to place in small vases/mason jars/milk bottles around the reception site, and maybe 1 or 2 larger floral arrangements.

I know vendors want to get the most out of their booking for this day and I know flowers don't come cheap but I'm finding VERY high minimums.

I would look into The Flowerman.  They customize packages to whatever you need and you have the choice of DIY or they can make the bouquets for you.  They don't have a minimum at all and I'm getting all the flowers for my wedding (bouquets, bouts, corsages, etc) for $500.

Flowers on Springtree Lane has no minimums.  I would suggest checking them out. They were the most reasonably priced florist I went to.

But, it also seems like you may be able to DIY your stuff.  I think Flowers on Orchard Lane has a DIY program. I saw a flyer for it, but I didn't really look into it.

If you're looking for just a few arrangements / bouqets you may even be able to do them yourself ( I did, and there's lots of tutorials online that will help). But if you don't want to you can check out Costco, Sam's Club, or Kroger / Giant Eagle floral shops - I know some budget brides use them for their entire wedding order and of course they wouldn't have minimums.

Another option is Blooms Direct. Having single buds in vases I would just order the flowers (they can help recommend how many if you're unsure) and have a friend or someone else set them up day of since there's no "arranging" needed. Blooms Direct (or any flower shop) can then make the bouquets and any larger arrangements you need. The key is to go to a flower shop that isn't specializing in weddings. We got all our flowers from Blooms (you can walk through their freezers and pick out flowers, and they also have a wedding consultant you can meet with) and did everything ourselves. I found them to be the most affordable flower-wise (other than ordering online, which is also an option... many can come pre-arranged in bouquets / arrangements).

I am using Kelly Karsten.  She does not have a minimum and her prices were very reasonable.

I booked with Wedding Flowers by Eleana and she is cheap, has no minimum, and is very cost effective. She doesn't try to push you into spending any more money than what you have set your limit at and she actually helped us come up with some really great ideas for the price we were willing to spend
