I hate to ask (grooms gifts)

J is having the hardest time coming up with grooms gift ideas. Originally we were going to get everyone something different, but I feel in love with some Etsy clutches and got my girls that instead (different clutches for each girl). I don't think he's looking to do engraved flasks or other such paraphenelia.Any suggestions would be most welcome! Thanks!

Are they sports/clothes/movie fans? We got all of our guys Chuck Taylors... Black and white classics.

My guy rented his guy's tuxes for them. He was thinking about a round of golf for each. Not that creative but the guys didn't mind.

FI is giving his groomsmen this leather valet (catch-all) thingy from Pottery Barn. Each one will be monogrammed with their initials. Also, I think FI is going to give each guy a bottle of their favorite nice liquor. http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p8036/index.cfm?pkey=ff088

FI doesn't get the whole attendants gift thing.  He's says he wouldn't expect a gift at someone else's wedding.  He decided to buy the guys' ties and pocketsquares ($47 and reusable), so that will cut down their cost in participating in the wedding to just the ivory shirt, since they're all wearing their own black suits.  Not incredibly thoughtful, but very practical.  I'm still going to work on him a bit and see if maybe he'll spring for a pre-wedding activity with them or something.  boys...

I never post on here anymore...but I love what my guy did...we gave all of our guys the Reef Sandals, with the bottle openers on the bottom.  We got them each a different color to go with their style/personality and then gave them each a 6 pack of beer that they like.  And it was easy to figure out their sizes, we just had to call the tux place to see what shoes they ordered from them!

Can you personalize the gifts per person, just setting a budget for all of them?

Brian did custom-mixed 6 packs of Wisconsin beers (to their tastes) and a gift card for like $40-50 for a store they'd like (I think all but one ended up being Best Buy).

Smo, that was the original idea. I think he's having a hard time coming up with something for each of them. I'm going to show him this post, and have him fill in some blanks on what each of them likes, their hobbies, etc. These ideas should help, cuz right now he's wondering if he should just do gift certificates...

We got the guys each a nice portable cooler, a 6 pk of beer, beef jerkey (from Trader Joe's) and a bottle of liquor we make. Before we did this we asked the BM, FI's brother about this since we were clueless and he didn't care if he knew a head of time. He loves it and now can't wait go get the gift.

I think gift cards are perfectly acceptable. It would be nice to give one personal gift to each, and then a gift card. Like, for the guy who's all about organic living, get him a cool book on organic cooking or sustainable living, in addition to a gift card for Whole Foods or something.

An idea someone gave me awhile back that I thought was cool was a nice cooler full of grilling meat, and maybe sticking some seasonings and/or grilling tools in there. As for person B especially, (im assuming its the Hoose?) I bet he would like concert tickets (I think DreamTheatre is coming to town fairly soon...?) or just a gift card to half price books. He seemed to love that store.

H got our groomsmen collapsible bag coolers with their first initial embroidered on the outside. Then he got them each a giftcard for MGM liquor. I would think that you could change the gift cards up for what ever place would fit them individually.
