Rehearsal Dinner....

Just a general question... My MIL asked what is done at a rehearsal dinner... and I thought it was just dinner and hand out gifts? Am I missing anything? Do you have to decorate anything?

    RD is just dinner after the rehersal. It doesn't have to be anything special unless you want to. You can make it anything you want and there are no rules. We are just doing Pizza and Beer and giving of the bridal party gifts.

    the bride or groom could also just stand up and thank everyone for coming and for their support... making my hubs do that part ;)

    My FMIL is going a little overboard with the RD, but they are from the South where traditionally the RD is sometimes as big as the wedding.You can do whatever you like for the dinner though.  I have been to big fancy dinners and also backyard BBQs, so whatever floats your boat :)We are doing the MOH/BM speeches at the RD and then inviting anyone else who wants to to say something.  I went to a few RDs where they did this and it was very intimate and sweet.Happy Planning!Rachel
