Yearly exam update. (Dani)

It wasn't that bad. The only thing that kind of hurt was when she couldn't find my cervix (I asked her if it was lost. haha), I guess it is kind of tilted to the left. But she kept kind of "digging" and had to get a longer speculum. It was pretty quick, like 10 minutes. She said I wold probably have some spotting. Overall, it wasn't too bad. It cost me $71 because I qualified for a discount of 75%.

Thankfully I don't have to go for another few months and at least my doctor is awesome about everything and wicked easy to talk to and stuff.

Yeah, mine is easy to talk to as well and super nice. Still doesn't detract from the fact that she's playing in my cervix.

I have my yearly on the 30th! So funny that we're all going right now.

I have a downward facing uterus, so sometimes it's hard for them to feel everything the need to...I just hope it doesn't effect our baby making!

I'm still covered under my mom until I et married and when her insurance changed, I had to get a new doc. I went to the new one this summer and I hated her. She asked me three times if I was sexually active and didn't believe me the first two when I told her I wasn't. I was so pissed. Just because I've been active in the past doesn't mean I am currently. SHEESH.

Annoying!! I would find someone new!!!

I have my yearly on the 20th. It is super weird that we are all going in around the same time! I am going to get my Mirena taken out, or schedule to get it taken out if there isnt enough time blocked off on the 20th.

It takes like 10 seconds to get it out. I don't see why they couldn't do it. You should call ahead of time to let them know you want it out.

Thanks! I think I will. It would be nice to not have to make another trip there. How long did it take you for your period to become regular again? Did you spot at all? Sorry if this is TMI, I just dont know what to expect!

No worries, not TMI. I was on some form of BC or another for YEARS so I'm only just becoming regular right now (I got it out in July or August I think?). I didn't have much spotting actually, I was really surprised. I only needed a pad for like a day.

I have to schedule mine. I'm under my parents insurance, but there are no doctors in this area that use thier Insurance, so I would have to drive down to see them to go to the doctor. Ugh.

Same for me. Mine will be in May some time.

I'm glad the appointment went well and wasn't too expensive.

It takes forever to get an appointment! I was supposed to call in October to make my appointment for this month but I forgot. I called in December when I finally remembered and cant get in until April!
