Wedding Dress Fiasco

So Bella Notte is the worst bridal shop ever. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. I was supposed to have my dress delivered at the end of June, and here it is the beginning of August, and still no dress. They say that it will be here by August 20th, but won't put it in writing and have no proof that it will actually happen. Now I am at the point that I might have to start looking for a backup dress. Finding and buying your wedding dress is supposed to be such an amazing/once in a lifetime experience and now I can't even think about my dress without starting to tea up from frustration and anger... Sorry for the rant, just needed to get it off of my chest.

    Sorry to hear that :( You're right getting your dress is suppose to be fun and be that perfect moment where you know that's your dress. I hope it does come in for you. It seems like this dress shop is getting a really bad rep now. I wonder what the deal is.

    As difficult as it must be, try to remain optimistic. Maybe you should have that date be the final deadline-and if it isnt' in by then, maybe start looking for a backup. Although I think it would be terribly expensive with all the money you must have spent on the first dress, to go ahead and buy another one :( What was the reason for your dress arriving so late? Did they give you one? If anything, you should report them-maybe get the publicity involved and see if that speeds anything along...

    I'm so sorry you are going through this. That store is getting a LOT of bad reviews on here...hopefully they are one of the vendors that comes on here and lurks so they can know how their incompetence is going to effect their future business.

    That is the EXACT same thing that happened to me with them. SAME thing that happend to my co-worker last year (I didn't know her when I ordered my dress). And the same thing that seems to have happened to each person who's posted a review of them online (here, citysearch and yahoo). I ordered my dress Dec 27th and they said it should be in sometime in March or April, come May 1 I hadn't heard from them so I emailed the owner who said the dres was done and shipping and would be here the following Thursday...same thing two weeks later when the dress still hadn't arrived. And two weeks after that. In the beginning of June it still wasn't here. It didn't arrive until the last week of June!! That was only after we started a dispute with the our credit card company to dispute the charges. By that time I was convinced they were either going to go out of business before I got my dress or that it just wouldn't make it on time. Lo and behold, once we threatend the dispute and the cc company started it, the dress showed up. When is your wedding? I have my suspicions as to why this keeps happening. I am curious, if anyone had a great experience with them and got there dress when promised??

    My wedding is October 17th, and I still need to take my bridal portraits. They have said that the dress will be here by the 18th. I told them that if it wasn't here by the 18th or at least have a tracking number by then that I will dispute the charges on my credit card. So I am hoping that will kick their rears into gear.

    I hope you get results. I really don't get how after all the complaints against their shop they haven't seem to have done anything about it. I wish you luck and I'll pray that your dress comes in as they have said it would.

    They will tell you that they can't get a tracking number. I tried that too and they said they'd get one (because the CC company said to get one the next time they said it would ship). Then they gave me some story about how they have to request the tracking number and its this big long process..whatever. I really hope your dress comes in! I understand your panic and I have been there but mine did eventually come in. I have to say, I'm glad I made a big stink about it when I did or I'd probably still be without the dress.

    I'm so sorry!  Hopefully it will get there soon.  Having faced the idea of needing to get a backup dress myself, I completely understand your frustration.  I wonder what the deal is with that store!  It seems silly for them to set up unrealistic expectations about the arrival date of the dress.  I hope it arrives soon....let us know!

    I ordered my dress from Bella's Bridal which is apparently part of Bella Notte now. I had a great experience with Liz. I ordered my dress just before Halloween and it was supposed to come in sometime in March. (This was last year) Even though I had to get 2 extra inches added to my dress, it came early in January! Sounds like BN is doing a terrible job. Make sure you call, call, call! Good luck in getting your dress on time!
