  Hey! Thanks. Funny thing is I haven't actually seen the paper yet - just the website. http://www.connpost.com/weddings The pic looks crappy online, so I'm hoping it came out better in the paper! Looks like they have a crappy scanner! I'm a full believer that everything happens for a reason and I'm not sure how our wedding would have turned out a GHL, but probably not as well as it did at Amarante's. We did have a great day and the scenery made for awesome photos! Thanks again and congrats to you! Less than a month now, huh?

  I think the pic looks great in the paper...you and DH look so cute and so happy together! I totally agree with you that everything happens for a reason... Yup.....I think we have 24 days left? We didn't think it was going to happen...FI was in a really bad car accident last Sunday(08/02) and literally internally decapitated himself (the only things holding his head on where his spine and skin, sorry TMI)....he was given a 2% chance to live and had 8 hours of surgery. But....he just keeps saying he is going to walk me down the aisle and have our first dance and, beyond ALL odds, he is home already. Even the doctors are in shock!!! I'm just beyond blessed and happy to have him here with me still! Sorry so long...but yea, so close! My BM offered to help me out with some stuff so she came and we finished up the favors tonight. Not too much more to do. I am in LOVE with your dress and flowers btw!

  Oh. My goodness. That story is jaw dropping! I am SO SORRY to hear that. I really can't imagine how difficult that was for you to go through, but I am so happy that he is doing well. How amazing of a story - he truly is a fighter and I hope he continues to do well. So not only will this wedding be a celebration of your love for one another, but it hold more meaning as well. How wonderful! And thank you. I love my dress and flowers too! I didn't have a trial with my florist, so I was pleasantly surprised on wedding day. I couldn't stop looking at them! I look forward to seeing your pics as well, so make sure to AW them when you can!

  Sorry to butt in, but wow, Stephy, that is incredible!! That will definitely make your wedding all the more meaningful. I think it really shows your FI had something to live for (you!!) I'm so happy to hear he's doing well...I can't imagine how scary that was!Your announcements look great, girls.   My mom said this weekend was the first time in as long as she can remember there were no engagement/wedding announcements and I think it's because they started charging so much to put them in. I know I'm not going to bother because I think it sucks that I have to pay $50 when my family has subscribed to the paper forever. I'll just put it in my town's little paper.

  LaLee - CTPost costs $32 and NH Register is $49! We picked the cheaper of the two, but it's still pricey. I contacted my hometown paper and never heard back.

  I didn't realize the register cost more! FMIL insisted on doing it, so I was down. I just think it's funny it's in there like 4 weeks before the wedding... I'm sure she will put our wedding announcement in there a month after the wedding!Thanks for the support...it was such a shock. He shouldn't even have survived the accident itself. But he's doing great!

  I think the rule for wedding announcements in the Post is no later than 2 months after the wedding, so we got ours in just in time! So glad to hear he's doing great. I hope you two have a wonderful wedding day!
