Hot and humid on wedding day

I'm getting married this weekend and the forecast is calling for sunny, hot and humid. This is unusual for this time of year here. The entire thing will be outdoors. The ceremony is in the shade under a big oak tree at 4 pm, then dinner/dancing in a tent. We will bring in some fans for the tent, have tons of cold drinks, but any other ideas for ways to make it fun and not unbearable? tia

    Well, make sure your tent doesn't have sides on! We were at a wedding last year that turned out to be the hottest, most humid day of the summer! It was intense. The tent had 2 sides closed and our table was in the back corner- it was stifling! Almost immediately after the prayer, several men got up and took down the sides-which helped a great deal. The weather is going to be what it is, and your guests are going to have to deal with it the best they can. Fans, having the ceremony in the shade and lots of cold drinks are a big help. Make sure your WP has some bottled water to have handy during your photo session! Your guests will have a great time in spite of the weather!
