Selinsgrove Rehersal Dinner Location

Hi Ladies! We are starting to talk about the rehersal dinner and are coming up empty as far as ideas. Our wedding will be at Tedds on the Hill, which is in Shamokin Dam. I would be open to any thing even close to there- Selinsgrove, Sunbury, Norry. Any ideas? I wanted to have the RD at my parents farm and do a bbq and bonfire but FI thinks its too "country". I think he's been living in DC too long, lol.

BJ's, The Selinsgrove Brewery, possibly Amato's??, Hoss's, The Front Street Station, The Hotel Edison, Lewisburg Hotel...I know there's more, but I can't think right now.  HTH

I thought about the Brewery but it't too small, unless they have another room somewhere. BJ's and Front Street Station are out of our price range. I'll check into the Hotel Edison, that's one I didn't think about. Thanks :)

In Lewisburg: Victoria House, La Primavera, Country Cupboard. In Mifflinburg: Scarlet D.The Victoria House has 2 'sides' to the establishment...the old Victorian Lady (which is like a tea house--a little fancier with table linens and [what I'd call] upscale food) and the newer Vic's Pub (which was modeled after an English pub--more modern and has bar-type food) I've worked with them on banquets before and they are wonderful--Denise is the catering manager and she's great. They have a website (just Google Victoria House Lewisburg PA) which should give you a lot of info. La Primavera is where I'm having my reception. They have a private dining room (which might be a tad big for a RD, but it all depends on how many you're having!) La P is an Italian restaurant, so that's the food you can expect. It's VERY yummy and they have been great to work with (Jenna is the banquet coordinator) They also have a website (Google La Primavera Lewisburg PA)Country Cupboard is good also. They have a couple private rooms (again, they might be a bit large for a RD) and you can order off the menu or go for their buffet. All the food is yummy, but if you're worried about being "too country", this might not be the way to go. Again, they have a website (Google Country Cupboard Lewisburg PA)The Scarlet D might be a bit of a hike for you from Shamokin Dam to Mifflinburg, but it's still a possibility. They have a bar area and a restaurant area, and the food is pretty good. I've never done a banquet there, so I'm not sure how they are to deal with on that end. I don't think they have a website, but I can get you contact info if you want.I hope that helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask!! Good luck!!

Oh, and PS, thank you for posting a question about an area with which I am familiar!! So often on this board it's all about the Harrisburg/Lancaster/York area I hardly pay attention! Not that there's anything wrong with that area, but it's frustrating that all of the "Central PA" stuff is focused on down there.OK, that is all!! :P

Townside Garden Cafe in Northumberland My sister's shower and RD were there and they did a really nice job. Very flexible, reasonably priced, and BYOB! Christy
